Skypity Skype Skype...

Thankfully yesterday (Wednesday) ended with a major bang.... I know what you are thinking... or rather... chanting, "Give us the dirt! Give us the dirt! Give us the dirt!" Ok, ok, OK! Well yesterday after completing my "Apethetic" blog post some exciting stuff happend. [I'm going to number/bullet them for easy viewing and easy transition... I will also include some events from today as well...

1. Checked an item off the "To-Do" List with some of my friends here (more explanation to come)
   
2. Made it home in less than 15min only to get there just in time to Skype Date with some of my very most favorite people in the whole wide world (WWW)


3. Remembered that tomorrow (which is now today[Thursday... or how the Spaniards say jueves] and that means it's FRIDAY for me (no classes most Fridays)
   
4. Brittany lamented about how much she hates me being gone (Deets below)
   
5. Colleen (roommate) will be gone for a good week and a half and I will have our cramped living quarters all to myself (no offense to her.... she would celebrate my absence too)

1. Ok soh, some of my friends and I made a "To-Do" list while at the beach last weekend... what's on it? (Bullets comin' atcha like bullets comin' at Neo... [Matrix reference]

• Participate in "tapas"... it's basically a meal that comes "free" with a drink (alcoholic or not) Apparently, Granada is the only place with "free" tapas in Spain. Free is italicized because people say they add the price into the drink; so worth it.. it's such a super cheap meal. From there it just got better... the waiter brought us another plate of tapas (un regalo..gift) and then he tried to give us someone else's beers by mistake... everyone was so generous that night... we chalked that experience up to a "double check"


• Sarah and I are going to buy bright skinny jeans--she's getting melon and I'm gettin bright spanish red... show stoppin'
• Order the"BIG" at our favorite gelato place
• Attend a "discotec".. which is like a club
• Check out Botellon (legal drinking in the streets... we will be spectators not participators.. its for the cultural experience of course)
• There are too many more to list.

2. Yesterday was one of the best days of my life in Spain... Fantasyland/311 united and I got to see everyone!.. via Skype of course! It was SO great to see everyone and catch up with them! It was the best hour and a half of my life and it was definitely worth the sleep deprivation. After the majority of the gang had left I was left talking with Dan and Daniel.. they filled me in with their Halloween plans to be characters from Mortal Combat?... they then proceeded to play the theme song and dance via punching and kicking the air. It was the funniest thing ever. Why? because when a person as intense as Daniel Sanders and a person as big as Dan T. Drake so something like that.. it's just funny.

3. Pretty much speaks for itself.. y'all all know the feeling.

4. So Brittany (my older sister... I would say BIG sister, but if you've seen the girl you would know that description is a bit misleading) sends me an FB message just lamenting about me being gone... it went a little something like this:

• Upset she can't text me random stuff only I would appreciate.
• Not there to give her fashion advice/moral support while shopping.
• She can't show me her new "tennie runners"
• Kellie just doesn't cut it for her... :D love you Little One
• She took my car and washed the inside and out... that's not a lamentation.. that's just nice
• She misses me like Shaq misses free throws
• etc.

It made me feel good.. BTW Wes... from the looks of this FB message, doesn't look like I'm going to have to try very hard to fight for her... if even at all.

5. Speaks for itself too.. now I can crank up my "bump and grind" music and go to town dancing about my room.. I'll have to take caution because it's pretty close quarters in here... one can be seriously injured.

Fun Fact:

Spaniards do not pick up their dog's poo when they poo on the street because it's supposed to be "good luck" when you step in it... my question is this.. Who exactly is it good luck for? The dog? When he sees his feces smashe into the sidewalk do it think to itself, "Muahaha! Dogs: 1 Humans:0"? Or maybe its for the dog owners/walkers... they have a point scoring system like:

• 1 point: Small children
• 5 points: workboots/tennis shoes
• 20 points: dress shoes/high heels
• 100 points: BAREFOOT!

Give me a break...I've never stepped in dog crap and thought to myself, "YES! best/luckiest day ever!" that's not good luck... good luck is finding money on the ground.

Another Fun Fact:

Today my Civilizations and Culture teacher in formed me that one of her students from Texas legitimately thought that Austin was the United States of America's NATIONAL CAPITAL! Are. You. Kidding. Me? He had to have been from t.u... just had to be. Way to go guy.
